Delta Gamma Celebration Features Bus-Painting Activity

A Sept. 17 event in Clayton's Shaw Park recognized the anniversaries of two St. Louis-area organizations for those with visual impairments.

Children had the opportunity to paint a MetroBus on Sept. 17 in as part of a celebration honoring the anniversaries of two St. Louis-area organizations for people who have visual impairments.

The event marked the 60th anniversary of the Richmond Heights-based and the 100th anniversary of the St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Metro external communications manager Patti Beck stated in an email.

The society also honored the for its work in making the city accessible to those with disabilities. It presented Mayor Linda Goldstein with a plaque.
