Join Us for the Active House USA Muddy Boots Tour

Active House, 'mid construction' open house October 12th to the Trade 10am-2pm, and October 13th to the Public 10am-2pm.

Lusso at Home in Clayton is proud to be working with Hibbs Homes and Verdatek Solutions to build the first Active House in the US, right here in St Louis.

But before all of the innovative systems, practices, and products being used in Active House USA are sealed behind interior finishes we are opening the doors for a muddy boots tour so building professionals, neighbors, and the media have a chance to see and learn first hand about all of the unique features that make Active House USA such a special home.

An open house at Active House USA is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 215 Gray Ave. in Webster Groves.

For this project, we have had the privilege of working with many of the top professionals in green building and products, which has helped to push the home's innovative systems and approach to the next level. Many of them will be on hand to demonstrate and talk about their product during the open house, and our partners Laclede Gas will be in hand grilling all day so bring a hungry mind and appetite!

Project partners who will be in attendance both days include:

 Hibbs Homes, Home Builder

 Verdatek Solutions, Project Manager

 Lusso at Home, Interior Design

Active House USA is an innovative prototype home that not only brings together the best in US and European green building practices, but is also taking those practices to the next level. What makes Active House different is the holistic approach to green building that emphasizes a balance of indoor air quality, environmental impact, and energy efficiency. Active House USA is being built to meet the standards set forth by the Active House Alliance in Europe, and will also be certified under US green building standards including: ANSI ICC-700, also known as the National Green Building Standard, Energy Star, EPA Indoor Air Quality, and the US Department of Energy's Builder's Challenge.

We hope you can join us to take a peek behind the walls and see what makes Active House USA so special!
