Gingerbread for Houses: a Ritz-Carlton Recipe

Gingerbread for Houses
Ingredients
- Honey — 1/2 cup
- Water — 3 tablespoons
- Sugar — 1/2 cup
- Eggs — 1 whole
- Sugar — 1 tablespoon
- Baking soda — 1 1/2 tsp.
- Milk — 3 tablespoons
- Water — 1 tablespoon
- Baking powder — 1 1/2 tsp.
- Ginger — 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon — 3/4 tsp
- All-Purpose Flour — 5 cups
Procedure

In a small sauce pan melt together the honey, 3 tablespoons water and 1/2 cup sugar.
In a mixer whip together the egg and 1 tablespoon sugar. Into egg mixture add baking soda, milk, water, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and flour.

Add the honey mixture.
Mix until a dough forms.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
