Support Dogs' Ninth Annual Fundraiser

Support Dogs, Inc. will host its ninth annual "Tacky Ball" with this year's theme "Space:  The Final Frontier".  The science fiction-themed event will include dinner, live and silent auctions, raffle and dancing to music by Larry Klinger's Galaxy Band.  Proceeds from the Tacky Ball will benefit all programs and activities at Support Dogs.

Co-chairs for the Tacky Ball are Bill and Shannon Wilhite.  Event sponsors include Cequel III, Huntleigh McGehee (HM), and Thompson Street Capital Partners.  Dinner sponsors include Ameren, Bryan Cave, KPMG, and Moneta Group.

Support Dogs, Inc. is a national non-for-profit organization that offers dignity, hope and independence by providing highly skilled service dogs to individuals with disabilities and uniquely trained dogs to serve the community.  Founded in 1983, the organization provides many services including an Assistance Dog program which matches people with various disabilities with a canine partner, a pet visitation therapy dog program called TOUCH (Therapy of Unique Canine Helpers), and a Paws For Reading program that places dogs in classrooms.  Support Dogs is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

Reservations are required, and individual tickets are $150 per person.  For more information about the event or sponsorship opportunities, call (314) 997-2325 or visit the organization's web site at www.supportdogs.org.
