'Second Wednesday Receptions" Kick off at Clayton Fine Art Gallery

Art enthusiasts looking for an art-related Happy Hour can peruse everything from paintings to sculptures at Clayton Fine Art Gallery’s “Second Wednesday Receptions,” an inaugural monthly series which will kick off on January 8, at the gallery (21 N. Bemiston).  All receptions, held from 5 to 8 p.m., are free and open to the public.

January’s reception will feature the work of pastel artists Juliette Travous.  Complimentary wine, soft drinks and snacks will be available as well.The gallery, opened earlier this summer by Jim Irwin and Jerry Schmutz, features a wide array of art ranging from oil paintings, pastels and water colors to acrylics, photography, sketching, sculpture and more. Exhibited artwork typically changes every eight weeks.

In addition to Jan. 8, Second Wednesday Receptions are currently scheduled for Feb. 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, and June 11.  Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sunday (noon to 5 p.m.).  Visit www.claytonfineartgallery.com for more information.
