‘Romance and Food’ Cooking Class at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis Makes for a Delicious Valentine’s Day Weekend Adventure

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is offering delicious ingredients for making  this year’s Valentine’s Day weekend an unforgettable couples’ experience, with a “Romance and Food” cooking class held in the hotel’s kitchens as one of the highlights.

The “Romance and Food” cooking class at the Clayton luxury hotel will be held Saturday, February 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Featuring gourmet recipes from The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis Executive Chef Melissa Lee and her culinary team, the guests themselves will prepare the five-course menu, and enjoy it for lunch in The Wine Room.

It is a true cooking class – not a cooking demonstration - in every sense: the participants do all the cooking under the watchful eyes of the hotel’s culinary experts.  Guests are invited to pepper the chefs with all types of cooking questions throughout the day.

The cost of the “Romance and Food” cooking class, which includes breakfast, is $109 per person.  Reservations can be made by calling 314-719-1433. Guests will also receive a booklet with all of the day’s recipes.

The Valentine’s Day-themed cooking class is just one of an array of special events at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis that await couples in search of a romantic Valentine’s Day weekend.  

Valentine’s Dinner in The Grill
The Grill at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is offering a special Valentine’s Day dinner for two on February 14 and February 15. Served 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., it features a four-course pre-fixe menu delectably appropriate for the holiday. The cost is $89 per person or $119 per person with wine pairings, excluding tax and gratuity. Valentine’s Day Overnight Package
The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is offering a special Valentine’s Day overnight package that includes the Valentine’s Day dinner in The Grill.  

Available February 13 through February 15, the Valentine’s Day package additionally features:

• Overnight accommodations in a deluxe room
• Rose petal turndown
• Self-parking
• Late check-out
• Complimentary full American breakfast for two in-room or breakfast in The Restaurant

“Bubbles and Chocolate” in The Lobby Lounge
Running from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, February 14, and February 15, The Lobby Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis will feature “Bubbles and Chocolate,” a festive lineup of champagne, made-to-order champagne cocktails, and a whole host of chocolate-lover confections, including 

• Sinful Layered Chocolate Praline Bar
• Passion Fruit White Chocolate Macaroons 
• Strawberry & Mascarpone Verrine
• Chocolate Raspberry Truffles

The chocolate display is $18 per person and all beverages – romantic or otherwise – are independently priced.  No reservations needed.
