Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club Welcomes Author Richard McBee

The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club welcomes Richard McBee, author of “Rough Enough: Including Richard H. Clow’s Letters and Diary From the Civil and Indian Wars,” at its next book club event. The response to this event has been overwhelmingly positive, and therefore McBee has offered to hold a second discussion on Tuesday, August 27, 3:30 p.m. at the Ulysses S. Grant National Historical Site.

The event is free, but reservations are required. Please call 314.842.1867 and press 0 for the operator.

Richard McBee is a retired educator of 28 years. He has previously served as a Peace Corps volunteer, a military soldier, a missionary and in various educational roles throughout the world. In his second book, “Rough Enough,” McBee recounts the story of Richard H. Clow and the drastic changes his life underwent after serving as a Union soldier in the Civil War. The book features Clow’s letters and diary entries from both the Civil and Indian Wars.
