Field Notes: Celebrate Art & Science in Grand Center

Join The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, The St. Louis Beacon, University of
Missouri-St. Louis, and St. Louis Public Radio 90.7 KWMU for a
three-day festival celebrating the scientific makeup of Grand
Center. Inspired by the Pulitzer’s Design Initiative, the festival will
investigate ways the built environment and natural world intersect.

The festival will kick off Friday at 7:30 p.m.
under a full moon at the Pulitzer. On Saturday and
Sunday, festival participants can choose between lectures, tours,
exhibitions, food, and live music, to be presented in Grand Center and nearby
neighborhoods and parks. Experts in the fields of geology, botany,
architecture, art, design, and astronomy will lead programs that inspire a
total 360-degree view of the vibrant Midtown district.

Guests of all ages are welcome. Visit www.pulitzerarts.org
for more details, or contact Kristin Fleischmann Brewer, manager of programs,
at 314-754-1847 or kfleischmann@pulitzerarts.org.
