Tate Foley and Will Arnold: From Sea to Shining Sea

The St. Louis Artists’ Guild presents From Sea to Shining Sea, a dual exhibition by printmaker Tate Foley (St. Louis, MO) and photographer Will Arnold (Champaign, IL). Despite the evident differences between the two artists’ work, Foley and Arnold share a similar sensibility in their explorations of American identity. Will Arnold uses photography to capture the American imprint on our landscape, and Tate Foley critiques the cyclical nature of American history through his works in printmaking and drawing. Foley and Arnold’s work will be hung salon-style in the St. Louis Artists’ Guild’s Emerson Gallery, encouraging dialogue between pieces, and provoking viewers into creating personal contexts for the work by recalling events from their own experiences or American history.
