Meacham Brings Jefferson to Life at the Dec. Fontbonne/KMOX Book Club

ST. LOUIS - The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club welcomes Jon Meacham, author of “Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power,” at its next book club event. The event will take place Thursday, Dec. 6, from 10-11 a.m. at the newly refurbished St. Louis Central Library. This event is set for three days before the Library’s grand opening, so book club guests will be among the first to see the atrium and auditorium.

The event is free, but reservations are required. Call 314-444-1827 or email cwbrennan@cbs.com, leave a name and phone number and reference the "December" book club to reserve a spot today.

Jon Meacham is executive editor at Random House and the Pulitzer Prize winning author of such bestsellers as “American Lion” and “Franklin and Winston.” He has written for “The New York Times,” “The Washington Post” and many other respected publications. In his newest book, Meacham explores Thomas Jefferson’s understanding of human nature as both a politician and a philosopher and how he used this unique perspective to move the country forward.
