Billy Peek to headline free Centennial concert

The
City of Richmond Heights’s yearlong Centennial celebration continues in August a free concert featuring blues guitarist Billy Peek.



Peek, who has played with Rod Stewart and Chuck Barry, will perform
on Aug. 23 with opening act Petty Cash Junction.



The concert will start at 6 p.m. and will be at The Boulevard Saint Louis, located at
Brentwood Boulevard and Galleria Parkway across from the Saint Louis Galleria.

Peek,
a St. Louis native, was Rod Stewart’s lead guitarist for five years and is
featured on recordings of hit songs including “Hot Legs” and “Da Ya Think I’m
Sexy.” He also previously toured with Chuck Barry.



People
are welcome to bring lawn chairs. Food and drinks will be available for
purchase from local restaurants.

Donations
will support construction of the Mid-County Veterans Memorial Gazebo, located
at THE HEIGHTS Community Center, 8001 Dale Ave., in Richmond Heights.
