A-fib sufferers can learn about latest treatments for Heart rhythm disorders at St. Mary’s Health Center

The
SSM Heart Institute at St. Mary’s Health Center is offering a free educational
program for people with atrial fibrillation (A-fib) and other heart rhythm
disorders. Cardiac electrophysiologist Christopher Bauer, MD, of the SSM Heart
Institute, will explain the causes of A-fib, the risks of living with untreated
heart rhythm disorders, and how they can be managed or cured. An
electrophysiologist is a cardiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and
treatment of the heart’s electrical system.



 



Guests
will have the opportunity to get answers to their questions about treatment
options. This event will be of special interest if individuals who have been
diagnosed with A-fib and their loved ones.

The
program will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, in Kohler
Auditorium on the second floor of SSM St. Mary’s Health Center at 6420 Clayton
Road in Richmond Heights, Mo. A complimentary light dinner will be provided.
