Weird St. Louis Craigslist: 'Ask Real Questions' Gold Chest

A Barbara Barry gold chest from an eagle-eye seller, an entire kitchen and a cow hide are among this week's highlights.

Clayton residents seeking good deals this weekend need look no farther than Craigslist for some cool—and unusual—finds.

Here are several pieces of locally owned merchandise recently posted for sale:

Everything But the Kitchen Sink
And actually, depending on what the seller says, you might walk away with the sink, too. This St. Louis seller is giving away a kitchen—including cabinets, the fridge and the stove—for $500. You can also offer to buy individual components. Bring a big truck.

'Ask Real Questions' Gold Chest
This seller offers a Barbara Barry gold chest for $3,500. That, and a lengthy discourse on the identification of Craigslist scammers. "If this listing is still up, it is available," the seller writes. "I will not answer email asking if it is still available. As they tend to be scammers. You are welcome to ask real questions. Scammers will be reported."

Grin and Beer It
This neon sign for the beer brand Modelo Especial features a soccer ball in motion. Writes the seller: "Perfect for rec room, bar, man cave!"

A Moo-ving Tribute
What better way to remember Bessie (or Sam, or Roger) than by preserving her hide as a play mat for generations of children? All joking aside, the seller is offering this Thomasville cow hide for $350. That's a steal compared to its retail value of $740.

Massive Map
This Rand McNally wall map for "real estate moguls, bankers and finance professionals" provides an in-depth look at St. Louis on a grand scale—it's 6 1/2 feet wide. It can be yours for $50 or best offer.
