Weekend Events Include Workout for Kids, Drug Take-Back Effort and Garden Club Sale

Here are five things happening in and around Clayton and Richmond Heights this weekend.

When/Where: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at community center
Why Go: Parents can drop off their children for a morning full of fun!  Recommended for ages 0-5.  No pre-registration is necessary.

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at
Why Go: The , in cooperation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will operate a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day site.  During this event, Clayton police and DEA agents will accept expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for disposal.

When/Where: 5:45 p.m. Saturday at the
Why Go: The Clayton Fire Department will host Family Movie Night on Saturday.  This is the last such event of the season. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. The free event includes popcorn while supplies last. Guests may bring non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Guests must provide their own seating, heavy blankets are recommended and lawn chairs will be allowed but limited. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Advanced registration is required. Please call 314-290-8500 to RSVP.

Why Go: Proceeds  of the walk/run will benefit the Green Club and the Clayton Century Foundation. The Green Club has chosen to donate its funds to the National Wildlife Federation's Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund.
Pricing: Pre-register for only $20 or register your family of four for $50.

RICHMOND HEIGHTS GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALE
When/Where: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at
Why Go: Buy plants to benefit the Richmond Heights Garden Club. Other features will include honey and Christ Church sausage for sale, a raffle and a silent auction.
