Weekend Events Include Tennis Season Kick-Off in Shaw Park, Family Wise Event at Grace Church and More

Here's a look at five events happening this weekend in and around Clayton and Richmond Heights.

You've probably seen our two Clayton-Richmond Heights Patch planners, designed to help plan family friendly and grown-up weekend plans. Starting today, we're combining the two to provide one-stop shopping for finding activities that appeal to kids and adults.

Look for this new "Get Out" planner at 6 a.m. Thursdays. Each will feature at least five fun events, destinations and activities in or around Clayton and Richmond Heights. Sometimes we'll add a bonus item that may be a bit further afield because there are times when a great event is worth the drive!

Why Go: Families are invited to Grace Church for a night of interactive fun with music, drama and dance. Messages about the Bible will be presented in a culturally, relevant way. The Grace Cafe will be open from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for families to enjoy dinner before hand.

Why Go: Tennis season at Shaw Park kicks off with a party at the . There will be giveaways, a chance to meet pros, free skill assessment and refreshments.

When/Where: 7 p.m. Saturday at .
Why Go: Created by filmmaker Matt Seilback and narrated by David Oyelowo (The Last King of Scotland), this provides shelter and guidance for homeless youth in the MRH School District. An optional wine reception following the screening will take place at Sunnen (7910 Manchester Rd.).
Pricing: $10 for film; $35 for film and reception ticket

Why Go: St. Louis Priory School is hosting a Bone Marrow Registry Drive in the High Schools Commons Area. Pre-registration accepted. Contact Karen Kluesner at kkluesner@charter.net for details.

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at the on Olive Boulevard.
Why Go: See a sensory-friendly screening of the new children's movie, Hop. Sponsored by the Autism Society, the theater will have its lights on and sound down, and everyone will have the freedom to move around during the movie.
