Weekend Events Include Glenridge World Foods Fair, Trivia Night to Benefit Special Olympics and Easter Egg Hunt

Here's a look at five things to do in and around Clayton and Richmond Heights this weekend.

When/Where: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, gymnasium
Why Go: Come out to the Glenridge 2011 Taste of the World event.  Enjoy great food from around the world, family activities and entertainment.
Pricing: Free


When/Where: 7 p.m. Friday, community center
Why Go: The 's 13th annual Trivia Night Fundraiser benefits Special Olympics Missouri. For more information or to register online, go to rhpolice.org or call (314) 655-3535.
Pricing: $10 per person. Eight people per table.

When/Where: Friday through Sunday at Washington University. Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Why Go: Thurtene is the oldest and largest student-run carnival in the U.S. This year's theme is "Celebrate the Magic of Community." The event features amusement rides, food and student performances. The carnival is located on the east side of the Washington University campus at the intersection of Skinker Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway.
Pricing: Entrance to the carnival is free but food, drinks and tickets for rides must be purchased with cash only.


When/Where: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday,
Why Go: Help reduce clutter and protect the environment! The School District of Clayton and Document & Network Technologies are partnering for ShredFest 2011. School district families and employees may protect their identity and reclaim their storage space by destroying legal documents, invoices, financial documents, personal records and more. DNT will recycle the shredded materials. Certificates of destruction will be available.

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday,
Why Go: Mr. Bunny will hide more than 5,000 eggs for children to find during this Easter egg hunt. There will be hunting areas for children in the following age ranges: 0 to 3, 4 to 5, 6 to 7 and 8 to 10. Special prize eggs await lucky hunters.
