Support a Family and Playground Project, Attend a Free Concert and See Teen Art

Here's a look at five things to do in and around Clayton and Richmond Heights this weekend.

Looking for something fun and different to do this weekend in or around Clayton and Richmond Heights? Look no further! We’ve got some ideas right here.


When/Where: 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Heman Park Community Center, 975 Pennsylvania Ave. in University City
Why Go: Trivia fans can test their knowledge at the Arts and Smarts Trivia Night and Silent Auction. All proceeds will go to build a new playground.
Pricing: $15 per person or $120 for a full table of eight


When/Where: 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday at in Clayton
Why Go: The Fontbonne University chapter of the National Student Speech, Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is holding its second annual Trivia Night on Saturday. The proceeds from the event will sponsor a family in need of special services at the university's on-site The Eardley Family Clinic for Speech, Language and Hearing.
Pricing: $10 per person or $80 per table (eight to 10 people)

When/Where: 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at in Richmond Heights
Why Go: Come to the Schnucks on Clayton Road to check out the music of Jon Thomas and Friends on Saturday and Dave Smith on Sunday.
Pricing: Free


When/Where: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at in University City
Why Go: The St. Louis Poetry Center will present a benefit featuring sonnets read by 14 members of the community. Readers will include Missouri's poet laureate, David Clewell; writer William Gass; and poets Stacey Lynn Brown, Adrian Matejka and Sally Van Doren.
Pricing: Tickets for the reading and champagne reception are $60.
