Storms Likely Wednesday in Clayton, Richmond Heights

The best chance for storms and rain is early Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service stated on its website.

Scattered thunderstorms and rain showers are likely after 1 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service reported on its website.

"While organized severe storms are not expected, some strong storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and locally heavy rain," the Weather Service reported Tuesday in a hazardous weather outlook statement.

Mostly cloudy skies and a low of about 68 degrees are expected overnight. There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday and a 30 percent chance Wednesday night.

Another chance for thunderstorms isn't expected again until Saturday, the Weather Service reported.
