St. Louis is 6th Best for Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

Party supply website Shindigz has named St. Louis the No. 6 place in the country to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. 

That's based on the city's Michelob 5 Mile Run, which will include more than 13,000 runners and the St. Patty’s Day parade with balloons, Irish dancers, horses and floats.

About 11 percent of U.S. residents identify themselves as Irish, according the census data quoted in a Shindigz news release. St. Louis’ Irish population is slightly lower than the average at 8.6 percent, according to city-data.com.
