RH Firefighters Raising Funds for Cancer Stricken Former Colleague

Mark Keeley is battling Stage 4 Cancer.

The Richmond Heights Fire Department and Responder Rescue is asking the community to help them help a fellow firefighter. 

The organization is holding , at Deer Creek Park.

The barbecue is to raise money for former Richmond Heights paramedic Mark Keeley, who is battling Stage-4 cancer. Keeley, who now works for the North Crawford County Ambulance District, has been unable to work since last September and his insurance has denied his latest cancer treatment, according to a press release from the City of Richmond Heights.

Keeley was a member of the Richmond Heights Fire Department from 2000 to 2005. He came to Richmond Height Children’s Hospital where he worked on the Transport Team.  

Money raised from the event will help Keeley pay his medical bills.

There will be pork steaks, brats, hot dogs, sides, ice cream, soda and water.

Donations, including gift cards, cash or checks payable to Responder Rescue with “Keeley” in the memo, can be mailed or delivered to the Richmond Heights Fire Department, 7447 Dale Ave., Richmond Heights, MO, 63117.
