* Pewter is an alloy, comprised of tin, copper, and antimony. After platinum, gold, and sterling, tin is the next most valuable metal.
*Match pewter contains 95% of the highest quality tin. Not all pewter is created equal. In order for metal to be designated 'pewter' it must contain at least 92%. Match pieces are marked with the '95' stamp to show the high quality of pewter.
* Match pewter is handmade with centuries old techniques, in small family owned own factories in the north of Italy at the foot of the Dolomite mountains. It is hallmarked with the unique factory crests.
