"Picture the Market"

Do you like to see artists at work? Then stop by the Clayton Farmer's Market Saturday to watch St. Louis Artists Guild Members paint and draw scenes of the market.

The St. Louis Artists’ Guild and the Clayton Farmer’s Market are proud to partner with each other to present Picture the Market.

On Saturday, September 21 market-goers will be able to watch member artists of the St. Louis Artists’ Guild create works of art inspired by the people, food, scenes, and atmosphere of the Clayton Farmers’ Market.

The Guild will also present a collaborative, community art piece that all of the market visitors can contribute to. Everyone's invited to stop by the Children's Activity Tent to add your own unique creative touch to the "Picture the Market" group art piece.

These activities will raise awareness of the importance of both a nutritious diet and creative expression to a happy, whole lifestyle. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for residents of Clayton and the surrounding region to meet artists and learn more about the artistic process.

Artwork created during Picture the Market will later be displayed at Northwest Coffee Roasting Company (8401 Maryland Ave, Clayton MO) from October 2–November 3, 2013. There will be an Opening Reception on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 6pm–8pm, free and open to the public.
