The Fireworks of Freshness at Clayton Farmer's Market

This year as you celebrate the 4th of July include a visit to your local Farmers Market to celebrate everything that is wonderful about America in a festive, community atmosphere!

Nothing is more American than the family farm and we are fortunate to have many within a short drive from St. Louis.  We are equally fortunate that many of the farmers make this drive into town on a weekly basis to bring their farm fresh products to Market. Before the eras of manufacturing and technology, the early days of our country's growth and greatness were built on agriculture and ranching.

With the resurgence of the family farm in the forefront of today's "locavore" and "Slow Food" movements, the growth of fresh, seasonal, and local foods is again seen as a great American asset. This is definitely an asset worthy of our celebration and our protection as evidenced last week by all the letters that were sent to St. Louis County Council in support of a Farmers Market Food Service Bill.  Many thanks to everyone for your support on this important issue.

Here's what's happening at the Clayton Farmer's Market on Saturday, July 2 from 8:30am to 12:30pm.  Come on over and help us Celebrate!
