Shakespeare Festival St. Louis Educational Tour Auditions

The Shakespeare Festival St. Louis is casting a diverse and versatile professional company of five to perform and
teach Shakespeare in schools and community venues throughout Missouri, Illinois, and beyond. Casting is available
for Equity and Non-Equity actors for an18-week salaried contract from January 6-May 9, 2014. This tour is based
in St. Louis. Touring is primarily day trips, Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend and evening performances.
No out-of-town housing or transportation is provided.
The touring season consists of two 50-minute productions: "As You Like It ~ Lickety-Split!" (adapted from As You
Like It) and “Family of Kings” (a condensed version of Henry IV, Parts 1 & 2 and Henry V) and two corresponding
student workshops. Actors are required to play multiple roles and be skilled Teaching Artists. Prior experience
performing Shakespeare and quality theatre for Young Audiences, teaching, and working with young people is a
plus.
Please prepare two (2) brief contrasting Shakespeare monologues which show your range and versitility, totaling
no more than three minutes. At least one selection in verse please. Bring two (2) copies of your headshot and
