Monsanto Exec Named to JDRF International Board of Directors

St. Louis Native Derek Rapp Named Vice Chair of JDRF International Board of Directors

JDRF International Board of Directors announces the appointment of Derek Rapp as the Vice Chair for the 2015–2016 term.   JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is the leading global organization focused on T1D (type 1 diabetes) research.  Since its founding in 1970, JDRF has awarded more than $1.7 billion to diabetes research.

Rapp began his term on the International Board in 2010 and has assumed a number of leadership roles.  He is also Mergers and Acquisitions and New Growth Platform Lead for Monsanto Company.

 “As Chairman of the JDRF Research Committee and an active member of the Advocacy, Development, and Executive Committees, Derek has a strong knowledge of JDRF research, fundraising, international, and advocacy activities. Derek will be a powerful force for JDRF as he helps to lead the organization to new levels of achievement and success,” said M.
