KMOX will hold tryouts for an on-air position starting tonight at J. Bucks in Clayton.

Have you always wanted to be a sports reporter covering the St. Louis Cardinals? Here's your chance.

KMOX is holding auditions to find a sports correspondent to report from Jupiter, FL this March.

According to KMOX, the sports correspondent will have the opportunity to conduct interviews with players and coaches, report back on KMOX and be featured on the station's web site.

Kevin Wheeler, host of the Dave Sinclair Ford Sports Open Line, will be broadcasting live from each of the audition locations.

Auditions will take place from 6-9 p.m. at J. Buck’son the following days:

  • Friday, Jan. 25
  • Monday, Jan. 28
  • Monday, Feb. 4
  • Friday, Feb. 8

The Audition Process

Contestants will read a 60 second sportscast written by KMOX staff. Each contestant will be recorded on video. The top 10 auditions, as selected by the judges will be posted on KMOX.com and the community will be encourage to log on, watch the videos and vote.

The winner of the contest will receive an all-expense paid trip to spring training for four days.
