Sweet Boutique: Sweet Gifts for the Holidays

Sweet Boutique is Clayton's newest shop on Maryland Ave, located between the Posh Nosh and Byrd Boutique. The store offers gifts for all seasons and handmade chocolate confections.

Sweet Boutique is currently filled with ornaments, Santa knick-knacks, festive serving bowls and, of course, chocolates. The candy counter is stocked with molded chocolates, chocolate covered Oreos, handmade truffles and pretzels swirled in chocolate and sprinkles.

Confections are handmade by the owner, Kristen Held, and can be combined with items from the shop to form simple to elaborate gift baskets or party favors. If you don’t see what you want, Held is happy to make custom orders with a quick turnaround time. She’s made chocolate baby shoes for showers and business cards tied to chocolate covered Oreos for a memorable networking handout.

“If you can think it up, we can make it,” said Held of her chocolate creations.

Prices at the boutique are reasonable, with individual chocolate covered cookies starting at $1.50. Held said the gifts purchased at her shop are around $40 to $50, though some items, like the purses or gold accented serving platter are more expensive.

Gift wrapping is complementary.
