Strictly Pediatrics Center Plans Richmond Heights Office

President Janice Cataldi wants to expand on the services of the Maryland Heights-based early childhood center by opening a location in a building on Oakland Avenue in Richmond Heights.

A Maryland Heights-based early childhood center plans to expand its services to help children with special medical needs in .

plans to operate at 7100 Oakland Ave. and will "provide nursing services to medically fragile children … (from) newborn to age 6," a July 23 letter from President Janice Cataldi to the City of Richmond Heights states. Employees at the site also will offer physical, occupational, speech and development therapies.

The Richmond Heights Planning and Zoning Commission is expected to consider a permitting request at its Thursday meeting. The building is located east of .

The facility would operate from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It would be closed on all major holidays. A map of the proposed interior depicts an office, a therapy room, two classrooms and an infant room, along with a kitchen and mechanical room.

Strictly Pediatrics Center opened in 1995 with a goal of providing "education services as well as … a medical day program so that parents could work or attend school," the letter states.

Cataldi received recognition in 2009 as one of the most influential women in business by the St. Louis Business Journal.
