SSM St. Mary's Named Top-Performing Hospital for Third Year

has been named a top-performing hospital for its efforts to improve patient care and to reduce mortality rates and health-care costs. The hospital made the announcement Thursday

It marks the third year in which the facility has been honored on Premier's QUEST list of top-performing hospitals.

“I am proud of all our staff at SSM St. Mary’s as we are again nationally recognized for our high-performing patient care,” stated Kate Becker, SSM St. Mary’s president and SSM Heart Institute service-line director, in a news release. “At SSM St. Mary’s—and at all our SSM Health Care-St. Louis hospitals—we are always focused on continually improving the quality and safety of the care we provide. This honor recognizes the hard work, innovation and passion that our physicians, nurses and staff bring daily to their jobs.”

In all, 120 hospitals received recognition. Several other SSM Health Care-St. Louis hospitals made the list:
