Ritz-Carlton Martinis Honor St. Louis Cardinals, World Series

The specialty drinks and ballpark food will be available at the Clayton hotel through the end of the baseball season.

Ballpark food and specialty martinis will be available at in Clayton for the next week and a half in honor of the Cardinals' trip to the World Series.

"We were excited for the city and the people," said Jason Ramshaw, one of two food and beverage managers at the hotel.

Food offerings will include handmade ballpark soft pretzels with spicy mustard; chicken quesadillas with pico de gallo, cilantro sour cream, pickled onions and guacamole; and beef sliders with duck-fat french fries.

Ramshaw named the new martinis such as Carpenter's Nail, which features Johnnie Walker Black Label, a hint of Drambuie and a twist of lemon. Also on the menu is Happy Flight, which is three bottles of Schlafly beer—pale ale, Oktoberfest and pumpkin ale. The Cardinals fan said he came up with the names with several other people over a couple of Bud Lights.

TVs will be placed in various spots in the lobby for Wednesday's game and the others to follow, and the new menus will be available throughout the hotel.

Generally during game time, most business is from locals, Ramshaw said.

"We usually have a full house during game nights," he said.
