Pastaria

  • Italian Ramen named one of RFT's "100 St. Louis Dishes You Must Eat Right Now": "... You don't have to know a thing about ramen to appreciate this dish. Basically, it's a great chicken-noodle soup: the flavorful meat, the rich broth and, of course, the noodles themselves -- the restaurant's spaghettini, still recognizably pasta in taste and texture even soaked with soup," RFT's Ian Froeb writes.
  • While Pastaria hasn't been open long, it's gained 36 reviews on Trip Advisor so far--and only two rated the food 'average.' Predictably, pizza and pastas were named among favorite dishes. One reviewer did warn not to expect "regular spaghetti" with red sauce. Read the reviews on Trip Advisor.

Five Star Burgers

  • The green chile cheeseburger was named a "100 St. Louis Dishes You Must Eat Right Now": "Given the restaurant's New Mexico origins, it makes sense that the one dish Gontram has copied wholesale from his father is the green chile cheeseburger. It just so happens to be the best thing here -- and one of the best burgers in St. Louis right now, period," Froeb writes.

  • St. Louis Post-Dispatch highlights the coffee chain's scones--particularly the lemon raspberry flavor. Their scone recipe dates back to 1994, which was used in the original DeMun location, according to P-D.
