Busch Stadium Gets Solar Help from Clayton's Microgrid

The company worked with Electrical Connection and Sachs Electric to install two solar arrays at the St. Louis Cardinals' home base.

Busch Stadium now has solar panels thanks in part to -based , a news release issued Thursday states.

Two arrays—one on the roof of the Clark Street ticket building, the other on a canopy in the left centerfield bleachers—contain the 106 panels. The panels are expected to produce 32,000 kilowatt hours of solar energy annually.

“We were excited to work with the world champion St. Louis Cardinals on this project, not only because they are a cornerstone in St. Louis, but also because the solar installation has the potential to have such a far-reaching impact in terms of educating and increasing awareness of solar energy,” stated Rick Hunter, Microgrid's chief executive.

Electrical Connection and Sachs Electric also assisted on the project.
