Bar Les Freres Planned on Wydown Boulevard in Clayton

The cafe-bar proposal is set to go before city officials next week.

A new cafe-bar planned for Wydown Boulevard will go before the Clayton Plan Commission and Architectural Review Board next week.

The 800-square-foot site at 7637 Wydown Blvd. would be called Bar Les Freres and owned by Zoe Robinson, information provided in the commission's agenda states. Wydown Shoe Service previously operated there.

The site is part of a retail area that includes at the Wydown-Hanley Road intersection.

Wines and champagne are expected to be offered at the French-themed location, along with some appetizers and entrees, St. Louis Magazine reported in March. Robinson also owns , the magazine reported.

At a meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday, officials will:

  • Consider a conditional use permit for the location
  • Review proposed design and materials for outdoor renovations and signage
  • Review proposed furniture and layout for outdoor dining
