The Webster Groves Herb Society is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a bang! And a hot one at that!  Herb of the year is that sinus clearing plant, Horseradish!  And yes it is an herb.

As usual the room will be full of Society members with tips and advice on growing herbs. There will be free recipes, herbal demos, and gardening books for sale. We guarantee to inspire the novice as well as the experienced gardener with our favorite plants and how to use them; this includes that mysterious herb, Horseradish.  Along with the over 10,000 culinary, ornamental, and medicinal herbs for sale, they will have a variety of heirloom tomatoes, and vegetables.  To top this all off there will be herbal drawings for gardening items from local vendors for all the patient souls who line up for the sale!

This not-for-profit organization continues to live up to its motto of “Each one teach one”, supporting and maintaining Hawken House, Mudds Grove, and Faust Park Herb gardens as well as providing scholarships to local horticulture students, and donating to local schools and organizations.  This event provides for all of the above!

So come do your one stop herbal shopping!  And kick off the gardening season!
