The Beaver: MHA Spring Film Showing and Discussion

Jodie Foster directs and co-stars with the ever-controversial Mel Gibson in "The Beaver," an emotional story about a man in the midst of deep depression. He can't seem to get back on track, until a beaver hand puppet enters his life. The film creatively portrays mental illness, its impact on the family and one man’s attempt to recover. Join Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri for interesting discussion and analysis, with clinical perspective from Agnes Jos, LPC of COMTREA, Inc. and with cinematic exploration from Chris Clark of Cinema St. Louis. Free and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated. CEUs are available for $10. Please call LaDonna Haley at 314-773-1399 for more information.
