Kensington Celebration of All Things Great and Small

Celebrate animals large and small at the Kensington Community Center, 59 Arlington Ave in Kensington.  Rev. Dr. Tony Clark, D.V.M., M.Div, will offer a blessing for all animals so be sure to bring your pets!  The El Cerrito K-9 unit will present a demonstration on the tactical behaviors of their dog, and an animal trainer will show us effective methods of training our pets. The Contra Costa Animal Care and Control vewtrinarian will provide LOW COST SHOTS AND MICROCHIPPING!   The county will also give amnesty for those registering their pets and provide information on distaster planning and and good health care.  Many rescue organizations will display animals looking for good homes for abused and abandoned animals, such as: Rabbit Ears, Friends of Greyhounds, Home at Last Cat Rescue, Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, Milo, Pittipups, White Kitty Foundation and many more.  Local business will have items for your pets and local artist, Robert Firestone will display samples of his pet portraits - you will want one of your loved ones. The Arlington Cafe, Sugar Cone, Japanese Food by Wayaga and Catahoula Free Trade Coffe will have delicious and reasonably priced food.  For more information call the church office at 510 526-9146.
