Arts-Management Discussion Series at Clayton High School

An arts-management discussion series is planned throughout the first part of 2012 in 's Little Theatre.

The event will include remarks by panelists and a 20- to 30-minute informal discussion moderated by John Armstrong, managing director of HotCity Theatre.

The following schedule is planned:

Jan. 23: Grant-writing (6:30 p.m.)
Panlists to include Christy Gray, executive director of the Whitaker Foundation, and Stephanie DeChambeau, director of development for the Saint Louis Symphony.

Feb. 6: Board management and development (6:30 p.m.)
Panelists to include Kevin Farrell, senior director for economic and housing development at The Partnership for Downtown St. Louis, and Dee Joyner, senior vice president of organizational development and community relations at Commerce Bank and board of directors chairman for Forest Park Forever.

March 12: Marketing and branding (TBD)

April 6: Patron development and customer service (TBD)

April 30: Employee motivation and empowerment (TBD)

May 21: Understanding finance and accounting (TBD)
