The fundraising blitz to support Superstorm Sandy relief efforts on the eastern seaboard.

St. Louis County began a 10-day micro fundraising blitz with the American Red Cross to support Superstorm Sandy relief efforts on the eastern seaboard. The effort is branded the “10 for Ten Campaign” and will be supported heavily by social media.

County Executive Charlie A. Dooley announced the campaign Friday during the County’s annual holiday tree lighting ceremony.

St. Louis County employees and residents will be encouraged to donate $10 during a 10 day period beginning Nov. 19, 2012. Contributions can be made securely online through a special American Red Cross micro site branded with the “10 for Ten” logo.
