Santa Spotter: Where to Find The Big Guy In Town and Nearby

Patch rounds up 12 places you can visit Santa in the area.

Whether your kids are clamoring to see Santa Claus or afraid of that big fuzzy beard, here is a guide to help you find or avoid him this holiday season.

Hazelwood

Santa Claus will visit with kids of all ages at the  in , on Sat. Dec. 10 from 10:30 am until noon.

  • While the event is free, Hazelwood Parks & Recreation staff will be available to photograph kids with Santa for $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents.

Santa has also set up shop at the in Hazelwood near the Play Area.

  • Admission is free, but professional photo packages are available for various costs. 
  • Hours are Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, Sundays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. On Christmas Eve, Santa will be available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information, visit the St. Louis Mills website.

Maryland Heights

Santa Claus will visit on Dec. 10 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event, co-sponsored by Westport Plaza and the Parks & Recreation Department features:

  • complimentary photos with Santa
  • face painting, balloon characters, crafts, live music and other activities
  • Kids will also enjoy refreshments and will be sent home with a goodie bag.
  • Participants are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots to help kids in need.  For more information, visit the Westport Plaza website.

Santa will also appear at the on Dec. 10 at 9:00 am to enjoy breakfast with his fans.

  • The “” event costs $5, but kids under the age of 3 eat free.

O’Fallon

On Tuesday, Dec. 13, Santa will be available to hear Christmas wishes at the Walk-Through Night at the Celebration of Lights at in O’Fallon.

  • Visitors are invited to walk along the illuminated route and enjoy holiday music, fireworks and holiday fare, in addition to a visit with the big guy.

St. Charles

Santa Claus is hanging out at the  on Saturdays in December.

  • Reservations are required, and tickets cost $15.

Santa will also be making appearances in various incarnations at the Christmas Traditions Festival on Historic Main Street in St. Charles.

  • The festival is open Sundays from noon to 5:00 pm, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturdays from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and on Christmas Eve from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

St. Peters

Santa will visit the on Dec. 10 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am to enjoy breakfast with local kids.

  • This “Breakfast with Santa” event is for children ages 2 to 8 and costs $11 per child and $5.50 per adult. 
  • Guests will be served a continental breakfast, do crafts and sing their favorite Christmas songs. 
  • Parents may take pictures of kids with Santa.

Frontenac

Santa Claus is visiting Monday through Friday from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm (with a break from 3:00 to 4:00 pm to feed his reindeer).

  • He will also be available on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sundays from noon until 5:00 pm, and on Christmas Eve from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

For furry friends, Santa will be at Plaza Frontenac on Dec. 12 starting at 6:00 pm just for your favorite cats and dogs.

Clayton

Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with kids and families at the breakfast buffet, complete with omelet and waffle stations, at the several times during December.

  • Santa will visit on Dec. 10, Dec. 17, Dec. 23 and Christmas Eve. 
  • Admission is $35 for adults and $17.50 for kids 12 and younger.

Richmond Heights

Santa will be at the during December to take photos and hear holiday wishes.

  • Santa’s hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Santa will visit with kids of all ages at the in Von Maur’s Center Court.
