Chinese New Year Extravaganza!
It's the big event of the year! We usher in the Year of the Rabbit with dazzling color and dynamic demonstrations! We hosted 200 attendees last year, and we are expecting another big, happy crowd for the sixth annual Chinese New Year Celebration on February 7th, starting at 7pm. Thrill to the Dancing Lions and thumping drums with the Shaolin Lohan Pai Lion Dance Troupe stomping and jumping about the room. Indulge in traditional CNY treats – moon cakes, oranges, unusual candies. For the full experience, wear red clothing to scare away bad fortune, bring red packets full of chocolate coins as gifts for your children, and find ways to incorporate decorations with lanterns, fish, and flowers.
Bring the whole family. Admission is free. Call the Richmond Heights Memorial Library, 314-645-6202, for more information.
