Four New Intellectual Property Associates Join Armstrong Teasdale

Armstrong Teasdale welcomes associates Lucas Amodio, Michael H. Longmeyer, Christopher J. Strobel and Zachary J. Wegmann to its Intellectual Property practice group.

Lucas Amodio’s practice encompasses high-technology and computer-related matters involving patent law. A former software engineer and patent examiner, Amodio guides in-house counsel, inventors and patent examiners in applying for and protecting U.S. and foreign patent applications.

Amodio earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington and M.B.A. from Indiana University. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Mike Longmeyer’s patent prosecution practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent preparation and domestic and foreign prosecution, validity and infringement opinions, patentability, due diligence and patent landscape analyses. Longmeyer previously worked as an intellectual property associate at Armstrong Teasdale from 2007 to 2010.

Longmeyer earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Ave Maria School of Law and M.S. from Purdue University. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, U.S. District Court – Eastern District of Missouri, U.S. District Court – Western District of Missouri, U.S. District Court – Northern District of Illinois and U.S. Court of Appeals – Eighth Circuit.

Chris Strobel represents emerging and mature business clients regarding the development and leveraging of technology. He prepares non-infringement and invalidity opinions, patentability, due diligence and patent landscape analyses. His emphasis is on intellectual property litigation.

Strobel previously worked as a summer associate at Armstrong Teasdale in 2012. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law and B.S. from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Zachary Wegmann’s preparation and prosecution of patent applications practice focuses in a range of technologies including chemistry, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, biofuels and sustainable energy technologies. His practice also includes patent litigation, counseling clients, preparing patentability, validity and infringement opinions, patent reissue and reexamination matters and intellectual property licensing. He formerly served as a chemical engineer for Abengoa Bioenergy.

Wegmann earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.S. from Washington University.
