Former Securities Commissioner Matt Kitzi Receives North American Securities Administrators Association’s Outstanding Service Award

Matt Kitzi, a partner in Armstrong Teasdale's Corporate Services practice group, has received the Outstanding Service Award from the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA).

Matt Kitzi, a partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s Corporate Services practice group, has received the Outstanding Service Award from the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). This award recognizes him as a leading member of the organization and outstanding contributor to furthering the reach and achievement of the NASAA program.

During the past five years, Kitzi, who served as the Missouri Commissioner of Securities from 2005-2012, has held several positions with NASAA. These include
chair of the Enforcement Section, National Task Force on Auction Rate Securities Investigations and Dodd-Frank Studies Working Group. He also served on the organization’s board of directors.

Kitzi’s public service experience, highlighted by his seven-year tenure as Missouri Commissioner of Securities, gives him unique perspectives and the ability to offer practical, insightful and business-oriented solutions for clients in the areas of securities regulation, financial services, government affairs, corporate operations and business planning strategies. He negotiates resolutions involving regulatory bodies and assists with strategy on legislative matters and has also counseled clients on officer and director guidance, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and related corporate operations and strategies.

Admitted to practice in Missouri, Kitzi earned his J.D. from University of Missouri -
Kansas City School of Law and B.S. in International Business from Northwest
Missouri State University.
