Savers Opens 3rd New Store in Metro St. Louis in 2013
ST. LOUIS – Pinnacle Contracting, Inc. has completed a new 34,000-square-foot store for Savers, Inc. at 10899 Lincoln Trail in Fairview Heights, Ill. It is the third new store that the thrift chain, owned by Bellevue, Washington-based Tvi, Inc., has opened in the metro St. Louis in 2013. The others are in Ellisville, Mo. and Crestwood, Mo. Founded in 1954, Tvi operates more than 300 Savers stores across the U.S., Canada and Australia.
The new Savers locations re-purpose or “back-fill” space that was vacated by entities that went out of business. “We’re experiencing significantly heightened demand for back-fill retail work. It’s a growing niche market for us,” said Tom McLaughlin, P.E., president of Pinnacle.
Retail work has increased Pinnacle’s revenue 15% during the last fiscal year.

“There’s an abundance of well-located space for discount retailers to take over on favorable terms. Owners, for the most part, are eager to see the space generating cash flow again, even at reduced levels.”
Joining Pinnacle on the Fairview Heights and Crestwood stores was Stantec Architecture P.C. A architects teamed with it on the Ellisville location.
