Bank of America Bolsters St. Louis Communities Through Holiday Philanthropic Activities

For Bank of America in St. Louis, holiday giving doesn’t just mean dropping off canned goods in a collection box. Rather, it is a longstanding, year-round tradition coupled with an infrastructure of volunteerism that is deeply ingrained in company culture.

This year, Bank of America’s network of St. Louis-based dedicated volunteers are coordinating several large programs to benefit St. Louis communities, including Dress A Doll, a 64-year tradition where employees dress hundreds of dolls to deliver to children at local nonprofits and hospitals, and Hearts for the Holidays, a card distribution program where employees create unique holiday greetings for distribution through 27 organizations, including veterans’ organizations, as well as for patients at local hospitals and senior centers.

These holiday volunteer initiatives are just a fraction of Bank of America’s overall philanthropic efforts in St. Louis, where an employee volunteer network donates their time to an array of community organizations year round.
