Community Forum on Heroin is May 7

Community Forum to discuss this important community issue on 5/7 at 7 p.m.

The St. Louis area is currently experiencing an extremely dangerous epidemic of heroin and prescription painkiller use by teens. Our community experienced more than two hundred overdose deaths last year alone!

As a parent, the dangers of drugs are something we must be aware of and an important topic we must discuss openly with our kids. An increase in heroin use among young people in our area has prompted a community forum for people to come together on May 7th at 7 p.m. to discuss this issue. The event will be held at the Auditorium, #1 Mark Twain Circle in .

This forum is intended to provide helpful and useful information to the community in order to proactively confront this situation and help stop the epidemic before it gets any worse.  A collaboration between the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NCADA), , , Clayton, and School Districts, this meeting is open to professionals, parents and students. Speakers will be on hand to address issues of community, law enforcement, treatment and recovery.
