Roadside Inspiration In Maine

Garden designer, Adam Woodruff shares recent contribution to APLD (Association of Professional Landscape Designers) blog.

Last weekend we headed to Maine for a little R+R.  On our way to Kennebunkport for lunch, we drove past the Corey Daniels Gallery in Wells.  I was compelled to turn back for a closer look.  The gallery, which principally focuses on found art and objects, is housed a traditional colonial and barn bridged together by a contemporary addition.  The naturalistic landscape was a collaboration between Daniels and Anthony Elliot of Snug Harbor Farm. While the building and landscape are what caught my attention, tastemaker Daniels does not disappoint- the objects and collections displayed in his gallery are as inspired as the venue.  

As we left his gallery, Daniels enthusiastically encouraged us to visit Elliot’s nursery in Kennebunk. [read more
