 Gateway Gallery &ldquo\;Room with a View&rdquo\; exhibit will feature pa
 intings and images of views from the home of Gateway Gallery resident ar
 tist Deborah A. Williams\, who lives among the fields and farms of Mills
 tadt\, IL.&nbsp\; Deborah is a professional artist who prefers to work o
 utdoors\, &ldquo\;en plein air&rdquo\;\, capturing landscapes on locatio
 n in natural light.&nbsp\; Her art reflects a love for architecture and 
 landscapes. Her images are reminders of the fast-paced\, disappearing wo
 rld around us.&nbsp\; Her medium of choice is soft pastels but also work
 s in acrylics\, mixed media and photography.\n&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp
 \;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Deborah&rsquo\;s pai
 ntings and photographs are included in numerous private collections and 
 havebeen exhibited at the Missouri Athletic Club\; the St. Louis Univers
 ity Museum of Art\; the Woman&rsquo\;s Institute and Gallery in New Harm
 ony\, IN\; the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville\, 
 IL\; the Creative Art Gallery in St. Louis as well as numerous fine art 
 fairs.&nbsp\; Her photography has also been sold by Hallmark stores.\n&n
 bsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbs
 p\; Deborah was born in Louisiana and has lived in many states and Bermu
 da with her Air Force family.&nbsp\; She is a graduate of Saint Louis Un
 iversity with a Master of Science in Sustainability.&nbsp\; She is a fou
 nding member of the Gateway Pastel Artists and The Gateway Gallery in St
 . Louis\, MO.\n&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&
 nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; This show runs January 5 through February 15 with a
 n opening reception from 6-9 pm on Friday\, January 25 at 21 North Bemis
 ton Ave\, Clayton.\n&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nb
 sp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Guest artist\, Cheryl Dorris will exhibit phot
 ographs as a Gateway Gallery guest artist January 5\, 2012 through Febru
 ary 15\, 2012.&nbsp\; Photography has been Cheryl&rsquo\;s passion her w
 hole life.&nbsp\; Through the years her work began to take shape via the
  landscape &ndash\; open air\, changing light and breathtaking beauty.&n
 bsp\; She is inspired by the warm light from a sunset\, shimmering refle
 ctions on water and the crisp hues found in cities abroad.&nbsp\; In the
 se places she feels both calm and energize\, and is drawn to photograph 
 them.&nbsp\; Cheryl is a self-taught photographer with a marketing backg
 round who has been photographing the landscape since 1997.&nbsp\; She lo
 ves to travel around the country and around the world and work with the 
 images she captures.&nbsp\; Her work has been published in magazines and
  books and has been shown in various galleries around the St. Louis area
 .&nbsp\; She has received recognition in numerous juried competitions\, 
 including Best in Show\, Old Orchard Gallery\, St. Louis\; and a finalis
 t in the SEEN Competition\, Studio Altius\, St. Louis.\nGATEWAY GALLERY\
 nEstablished in 2004\, Gateway Gallery is owned and operated entirely by
  local artists.&nbsp\; This affordsvisitors an opportunity to meet the a
 rtists themselves in a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere.&nbsp\; The
  diversity found among this group can be seen in the wide range of art w
 hich is exhibited therein.&nbsp\; Artwork ranges from traditional landsc
 apes to contemporary abstraction\, and it is presented in a variety of m
 ediums.&nbsp\; Additionally\, invitations are extended to guest artists 
 to exhibit eight times a year and receptions are held in conjunction wit
 h these shows.&nbsp\; The gallery offers affordable\, reasonably priced 
 art from award winning artists.&nbsp\; Exhibits typically run every six 
 weeks\, featuring one of the gallery&rsquo\;s resident artists as well a
 s three visiting artists.&nbsp\; Located in downtown Clayton\, Mo.\, the
  gallery is walking distance to other galleries and many of St. Louis&rs
 quo\; finest restaurants and cafes\, making it a &ldquo\;must-stop&rdquo
 \; destination for art lovers\, art collectors and designers.\n&nbsp\;&n
