 ng welcoming a new group of women to the St. Louis Junior League. This w
 ill be the final day for prospective members to sign up and join the new
  member class.\nIn today&rsquo\;s busy world\, women need the&nbsp\;oppo
 rtunity to build new skills\, develop new friendships and contribute to 
 the&nbsp\;community. Benefits of JLSL membership include: volunteer and 
 leadership training\,&nbsp\;opportunities with like-minded women and com
 munity leaders\, potential to serve&nbsp\;in leadership positions\, insi
 ghts into community needs and the chance to make a&nbsp\;difference in t
 he St. Louis community.\nFounded in 1914\, JLSL membership draws women f
 rom the metropolitan St. Louis&nbsp\;area. A diverse organization\, the 
 JLSL reaches out to women of all races\, religions and&nbsp\;national or
 igins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.&nbsp
 \;Women must be at least 21 years of age and reside within the St. Louis
  metropolitan&nbsp\;area and surrounding counties.\nThe JLSL offers one 
 new member class per JLSL calendar year starting in September.&nbsp\;The
  new member course provides education and training about the structure o
 f JLSL&nbsp\;and its role in the community\, as well as the opportunity 
 to participate in &ldquo\;hands-on&rdquo\; activities\, fundraising even
 ts and numerous social activities throughout the year.&nbsp\;Successful 
 completion of the program prepares new members for active membership.\nT
