The nominations are in.
The readers of Patch submitted nominations for two people for the 2012 Clayton Person of the Year on Patch. Now, it's time for you to decide who wins by casting your vote in the poll below. We'll accept your votes until 7 p.m. on Dec. 26.
Then we'll name the Person of the Year. He or she will be recognized with a feature story on Patch at a later date.

In Clayton, here are the nominees, listed in alphabetical order by last name:
Linda Goldstein, mayor of Clayton
Through her two terms as mayor of Clayton, Linda Goldstein has brought vision, wisdom, and team-building leadership to the community.
Linda Goldstein has served the Clayton community as a City official for thirteen years. Before being elected Clayton’s first woman mayor in April 2007, she served as a Ward II alderman for eight years. She also served for two years as President of the Clayton Recreation Sports and Wellness Commission, the governing board of The Center of Clayton. Her political service includes serving for five years as a Director on the Executive Board of the St. Louis County Municipal League. Linda has lead the city and the region with foresight as a champion of the smoking ban in public places and a multitude of initiatives in sustainability. Linda Goldstein has positioned the city for long term success by championing the establishment of a downtown Clayton master plan, and a total city Strategic Plan, leaving a legacy that will reach far into the future.
Goldstein also distinguishes herself through non-profit activities. She currently serves as a Director on the board of the Central Institute for the Deaf and Cultural Festivals. She has served as Vice President of The St. Louis Forum Board, and, during her tenure as President of the Board of The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis, Goldstein oversaw the organization’s capital campaign and facility expansion.
Robert K. Kerr, president of the Clayton Recreation Sports and Wellness Commission
Robert K. Kerr is an engaged and passionate lifelong resident who has volunteered countless hours on various civic organizations to better the city, schools and community. He consistently brings a fair, balanced and pragmatic approach in addressing issues facing our community, and helping to craft real solutions.
Mr. Kerr is the current president of the Clayton Recreation Sports and Wellness Commission, which oversees the Center of Clayton. He is also president of the Clayton Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization raising private funds to provide grants to create transformational educational opportunities for students in the Clayton School District, and which also oversees the Clayton Hall of Fame and the Clayton Alumni Association. Kerr is a long-time volunteer coach for youth boys and girls sports in the Clayton recreational leagues and club sports teams. He has also served as a commissioner for the Clayton Parks and Recreation Commission, and was previously elected and served as director and secretary for the Clayton Board of Education.

In addition, Linda has won many awards! They include the St. Louis Business Journal’s 25 Most Influential Women in Business in 2002, the Coro Leadership Center’s Outstanding Alumni Award in 2004, and the Winning Women’s Public Service award in 2009. She has been named as one of the Most Influential St. Louisans by the St. Louis Business Journal every year since 2008 and was chosen by the Riverfront Times as “Best Mayor” in 2009. In 2012, Goldstein was honored as the Public Official of the Year by the Missouri Park & Recreation Association and received the Distinguished Service Award from the Missouri Bicycle Federation.
