Three Big Events: Week of Dec. 4, 2011

This week, we preview an aquaculture conference, a book club discussion and a tuba concert at the Saint Louis Galleria. All are happening in or near Clayton and Richmond Heights.

Here's a look at some of the big events happening this week in and near Clayton and Richmond Heights:

MONDAY, DEC. 5


Learn about aquaculture from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday during a conference in the theater. Participants will get to build mini-aquacultures as part of the event, the MRH School District's website states.

FRIDAY, DEC. 9
Hear Hardee's CEO Talk Job Creation

Chief Executive Andy Puzder will talk with the Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club at 9* a.m. Friday at Hardee's, 5854 Oakland Ave.

Puzder is the author of "Job Creation: How It Really Works and Why Government Doesn't Understand It."

SATURDAY, DEC. 10


Hear a free concert from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the in Richmond Heights. It will happen in Court and feature more than 120 musicians.

"It really is an amazing experience to witness so many tubas playing holiday songs," Galleria marketing manager Christine Poehling stated in a news release. "We are proud to be continuing this decade long tradition that has become a signature event of our holiday season."
